1. Online vs. Offline Courses

You have two main paths that you can take to learn Spanish. You can either take a class at your local college (or wherever it is offered) or you can learn using an online course. I took the online route for one major reason: You can work through the material at your own pace!

This means that you can go through each lesson as fast as you would like rather than sticking to a schedule that an instructor would set for you (which are usually much slower than you would like). 2. Set Deadlines

You must set deadlines for yourself. If you are going to be working through an online course you need to be sure you don’t get lazy!

Here is what I did: I set 3 mini goals which were one week (7 days) apart. For example, my goal after the first week was to have beginner knowledge of the language which included a basic vocabulary, proper pronunciation, and sentence structure.

Deadlines are a must if you want to learn Spanish quick!

3. Chill Out!

Make sure you do not stress yourself out too much. A mistake I made was that I over-worked myself during the first couple of days. I got burned out and my productivity dropped a ton. If I had paced myself better, I probably would have been able to do this is an even shorter amount of time!

4. Choose Wisely…

Let’s not kid ourselves here. Time is our most valuable asset. I don’t know about you, but I need to be absolutely sure that I am not wasting any of that valuable time on something that won’t give me results.
